Responding to a fan tweet this week, the actor and director insisted that he makes “no apologies” for the controversial motion-comedy, which infamously aspects Robert Downey Jr. in blackface and jokes criticized as being offensive to other folks with psychological disabilities.

Whereas the tweet had asked Stiller to “please cease apologizing for making this movie,” he replied, “Manufacture no longer know who suggested you that. Or no longer it is continually been a controversial movie since after we opened. Comfy with it and the work all people did on it.”

Directed by Stiller from a script he wrote with Justin Theroux and Ethan Cohen, Tropic Notify follows the misadventures of a community of narcissistic actors who by accident safe themselves combating a heroin cartel whereas making a Vietnam Struggle film.
